Fraser began his career as an electrical engineering apprentice with the Stiell Group, where he was successively promoted to the position of general manager in 1993. In 1997, he launched Stiell’s facilities management (FM) division in Central Scotland. Stiell FM grew rapidly into a nationally recognised organisation.
Stiell Group was acquired by Alfred McAlpine in 2002, and Fraser became a property consultancy director within Alfred McAlpine.
Fraser left Alfred McAlpine in 2004 to establish his own FM Consultancy and Interim Management practice, focusing on the FM and environmental sectors. This expanded into an energy-related environmental consultancy specialising in combined heat and power (CHP) and wind generation.
