Ian began his career in 1967 as a constructive technician apprentice for the Ministry of Defence at Rosyth Royal Dockyard. He joined Babcock International Group (BIG) in 1987 where he was promoted in 1991 to Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Security at Rosyth Royal Dockyard. In 2002 he joined BIG at HMNB Clyde where he headed up the Health, Safety, Environment & Quality department for the Base as part of the Partnering agreement between BIG and MoD. Ian has over 20 years’ experience of managing large and complex engineering projects within a multi stakeholder environment with significant compliance issues. This has included interfacing with Statutory Bodies, Local Authorities and Government. Ian joined Burcote Wind in February 2011 as Senior Project Manager.
